And again the anger of the LORD was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah. And again the anger of יְהוָ֥ה was kindled against Israel, and he moved David against them to say, Go, number Israel and Judah.Y volvió el furor del SEÑOR a encenderse contra Israel, e incitó a David contra ellos a que dijese: Ve, cuenta a Israel y a Judá.
For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which was with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beersheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people. For the king said to Joab the captain of the host, which with him, Go now through all the tribes of Israel, from Dan even to Beer-sheba, and number ye the people, that I may know the number of the people.Y dijo el rey a Joab, general del ejército que tenía consigo: Rodea todas las tribus de Israel, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, y contad el pueblo, para que yo sepa el número del pueblo.
And Joab said unto the king, Now the LORD thy God add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see it: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing? And Joab said unto the king, Now יְהוָ֥ה thy Elohim add unto the people, how many soever they be, an hundredfold, and that the eyes of my lord the king may see: but why doth my lord the king delight in this thing?Y Joab respondió al rey: Añada El SEÑOR tu Dios al pueblo cien veces tanto como son, y que lo vea mi señor el rey; mas ¿para qué quiere esto mi señor el rey?
Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel. Notwithstanding the king's word prevailed against Joab, and against the captains of the host. And Joab and the captains of the host went out from the presence of the king, to number the people of Israel.
And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that lieth in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer: And they passed over Jordan, and pitched in Aroer, on the right side of the city that in the midst of the river of Gad, and toward Jazer:Y pasando el Jordán asentaron en Aroer, a la mano derecha de la ciudad que está en medio del arroyo de Gad y junto a Jazer.
Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtimhodshi; and they came to Danjaan, and about to Zidon, Then they came to Gilead, and to the land of Tahtim-hodshi; and they came to Dan-jaan, and about to Zidon,Después vinieron a Galaad, y a la tierra baja de Hodsi; y de allí vinieron a Danjaán y alrededor de Sidón.
And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, even to Beersheba. And came to the strong hold of Tyre, and to all the cities of the Hivites, and of the Canaanites: and they went out to the south of Judah, to Beer-sheba.Y vinieron luego a la fortaleza de Tiro, y a todas las ciudades de los heveos y de los cananeos; y salieron al mediodía de Judá, a Beerseba.
So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days. So when they had gone through all the land, they came to Jerusalem at the end of nine months and twenty days.Y después que hubieron andado toda la tierra, volvieron a Jerusalén al cabo de nueve meses y veinte días.
And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah were five hundred thousand men. And Joab gave up the sum of the number of the people unto the king: and there were in Israel eight hundred thousand valiant men that drew the sword; and the men of Judah five hundred thousand men.Y Joab dio la cuenta del número del pueblo al rey; y fueron los de Israel ochocientos mil hombres fuertes que sacaban espada; y de los de Judá quinientos mil hombres.
And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto the LORD, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O LORD, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly. And David's heart smote him after that he had numbered the people. And David said unto יְהוָ֥ה, I have sinned greatly in that I have done: and now, I beseech thee, O יְהוָ֥ה, take away the iniquity of thy servant; for I have done very foolishly.Y después que David hubo contado el pueblo, le herió su corazón; y dijo David al SEÑOR: Yo he pecado gravemente por haber hecho esto; mas ahora, oh SEÑOR, te ruego que traspases el pecado de tu siervo, porque yo he obrado muy locamente.
For when David was up in the morning, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying, For when David was up in the morning, the word of יְהוָ֥ה came unto the prophet Gad, David's seer, saying,Y por la mañana, cuando David se hubo levantado, vino palabra del SEÑOR a Gad profeta, vidente de David, diciendo:
Go and say unto David, Thus saith the LORD, I offer thee three things; choose thee one of them, that I may do it unto thee. Go and say unto David, Thus saith יְהוָ֥ה, I offer thee three; choose thee one of them, that I may unto thee.
So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me. So Gad came to David, and told him, and said unto him, Shall seven years of famine come unto thee in thy land? or wilt thou flee three months before thine enemies, while they pursue thee? or that there be three days' pestilence in thy land? now advise, and see what answer I shall return to him that sent me.Vino, pues, Gad a David, y le denunció, y le dijo: ¿Quieres que te vengan siete años de hambre en tu tierra?
And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of the LORD; for his mercies are great: and let me not fall into the hand of man. And David said unto Gad, I am in a great strait: let us fall now into the hand of יְהוָ֥ה; for his mercies great: and let me not fall into the hand of man.
So the LORD sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beersheba seventy thousand men. So יְהוָ֥ה sent a pestilence upon Israel from the morning even to the time appointed: and there died of the people from Dan even to Beer-sheba seventy thousand men.Y envió el SEÑOR pestilencia en Israel desde la mañana hasta el tiempo señalado; y murieron del pueblo, desde Dan hasta Beerseba, setenta mil hombres.
And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, the LORD repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of the LORD was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite. And when the angel stretched out his hand upon Jerusalem to destroy it, יְהוָ֥ה repented him of the evil, and said to the angel that destroyed the people, It is enough: stay now thine hand. And the angel of יְהוָ֥ה was by the threshingplace of Araunah the Jebusite.Y cuando el ángel extendió su mano sobre Jerusalén para destruirla, el SEÑOR se arrepintió de aquel mal, y dijo al ángel que destruía el pueblo: Basta ahora; detén tu mano.
And David spake unto the LORD when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house. And David spake unto יְהוָ֥ה when he saw the angel that smote the people, and said, Lo, I have sinned, and I have done wickedly: but these sheep, what have they done? let thine hand, I pray thee, be against me, and against my father's house.Y David dijo al SEÑOR, cuando vio al ángel que hería al pueblo: Yo pequé, yo hice la maldad; ¿qué hicieron estas ovejas?
And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto the LORD in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite. And Gad came that day to David, and said unto him, Go up, rear an altar unto יְהוָ֥ה in the threshingfloor of Araunah the Jebusite.Y Gad vino a David aquel día, y le dijo: Sube, y haz un altar al SEÑOR en la era de Arauna jebuseo.
And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as the LORD commanded. And David, according to the saying of Gad, went up as יְהוָ֥ה commanded.Y David subió, conforme al dicho de Gad, que el SEÑOR le había mandado.
And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground. And Araunah looked, and saw the king and his servants coming on toward him: and Araunah went out, and bowed himself before the king on his face upon the ground.Y mirando Arauna, vio al rey y a sus siervos que pasaban a él.
And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto the LORD, that the plague may be stayed from the people. And Araunah said, Wherefore is my lord the king come to his servant? And David said, To buy the threshingfloor of thee, to build an altar unto יְהוָ֥ה, that the plague may be stayed from the people.Y Arauna dijo: ¿Por qué viene mi señor el rey a su siervo?
And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what seemeth good unto him: behold, here be oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and other instruments of the oxen for wood. And Araunah said unto David, Let my lord the king take and offer up what good unto him: behold, oxen for burnt sacrifice, and threshing instruments and instruments of the oxen for wood.Y Arauna dijo a David: Tome y sacrifique mi señor el rey lo que bien le pareciere; he aquí bueyes para el holocausto; y trillos y otros aderezos de bueyes para leña;
All these things did Araunah, as a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, The LORD thy God accept thee. All these did Araunah, a king, give unto the king. And Araunah said unto the king, יְהוָ֥ה thy Elohim accept thee.todo lo da el rey Arauna al Rey.
And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy it of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto the LORD my God of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver. And the king said unto Araunah, Nay; but I will surely buy of thee at a price: neither will I offer burnt offerings unto יְהוָ֥ה my Elohim of that which doth cost me nothing. So David bought the threshingfloor and the oxen for fifty shekels of silver.Y el rey dijo a Arauna: No, sino por precio te lo compraré; porque no ofreceré al SEÑOR mi Dios holocaustos por nada.
And David built there an altar unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So the LORD was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel. And David built there an altar unto יְהוָ֥ה, and offered burnt offerings and peace offerings. So יְהוָ֥ה was intreated for the land, and the plague was stayed from Israel.Y edificó allí David un altar al SEÑOR, y sacrificó holocaustos y pacíficos; y el SEÑOR se aplacó con la tierra, y cesó la plaga de Israel.
